Short Term Skill Development Training Programme for the participants from Bhutan, 2017

Under the aegis of KIIT School of Advanced Skill (KSAS) and KIIT International Relations, we received the work order for imparting 60 participants from Bhutan in Three Courses like 1) Green Car Technology and Maintenance 2) Lift and Escalator Maintenance and 3)   Post Harvest Technology in our University. The Programme of Short Term Skill Development Training Programme for the participants from Bhutan was built up and regulated on the following.

  1. Curriculum: Based on NSDC QPs moderated as per requirement of users
  2. Delivery plan consists of lectures, practices, demonstrations, invited experts, industrial visits
  3. Contents cover core aspects and communication skill (10%)
  4. Certification will be from KIIT University

Green Car Technology and Maintenance is being imparted to 20 trainees of Bhutan under the able guidance of Dr. Isham Panigrahi, Associate Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering and Programme Head of the Course. Similarly, another 20 trainees of Bhutan are being trained in Lift and Escalator Maintenance Course with the supervision of Prof. Ajay Kumar Behera, Programme Head of the Course.   Under the able guidance of Dr. Sudarsan Panda, Director Horticulture, KIIT University and the Programme Coordinator of Post Harvest Technology, 20 trainees of Bhutan completed their training on Dt. 27/03/2017. We are thankful to Dr. Sudarsan Panda who has taken all the pain for successful completion of the Training Programme. On Dt. 27/03/2017, an interactive session was organized by KIIT School of Advanced Skill (KSAS) in Conference Hall - 4, Campus - 6 and Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar, KIIT University delivered a nice lecture to the participants from Bhutan.

The Certificate Distribution Ceremony and Closing Ceremony of Post Harvest Technology Training Programme was organized on Dt. 28/03/2017 in Conference Hall - 4, Campus - 6 under the aegis of KIIT School of Advanced Skill (KSAS). Under the joint banner of KIIT School of Advanced Skill (KSAS) and Office of the International Relations, 60 participants from Bhutan made a visit to Puri, Konark, Khandagiri, Udayagiri, Dhauligiri and in and around of Bhubaneswar like Tribal Museum and Planetarium etc. during Dt. 29/03/2017 to Dt. 01/04/2017 to get familiar of our culture, heritage and beyond. Dr. Sudarsan Panda, Director, Horticulture and Mr. Abhinav Narayan, Office of the International Relations accompanied the trainees of Bhutan for the said purpose. 20nos. of participants from Post Harvest Technology Training Programme left KIIT University on Dt. 04/04/2017 and expressed their experience in home country, Bhutan. Rest 40nos. participants from two Courses continued the Training Programme till 7th June, 2017 and started their journey to Bhutan with hands-on training filled with satisfaction. The Govt. officials from Royal Govt. of Bhutan visited and reviewed twice during the programme and experienced their satisfaction beyond limit and assured for doing more skill building exercise with KIIT.
